August 1970, La Grange, NC – population 5,000. Three generations of women have gathered for cards, refreshments and conversation. They have years of stories and opinions, but this Thursday night there’s something new: desegregation has come to La Grange public schools. The black housekeeper, Margaret, has been an important part in all their lives for years as a largely silent witness, but all that may be about to change…
The Thursday Night Bridge Circle stars Caitlin Clugston, Rebecca de Boer, Kyla Ferrier, Evangela Kepinski, Erin Matchette, Rhona McCallum Lichtenwald, Sheryl McMillan, Sarah Reech, Allyson Riley, Kathryn Shaw and Ava Stark. It is directed by Sarah Rodgers with assistant director Natalia McLaughlin, technical direction by Michael Methot, set by Brian Ball, costumes by Sheila White, lighting by Mark Carter, sound by Christopher King, props by Linda Begg, stage management by Jack Bumbala, and is produced by Linda Begg.
The Thursday Night Bridge Circle runs at the Jericho Arts Centre from Sept. 9 - Oct. 2 and online from Sept. 10, Thursday to Saturday at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm.
